It is not real wet, dries quickly. It CLEANS. If we had a particularly dirty spot, we let it sit on it for 5 sec or so and voila it was gone. we did add more water as we was going. And we moved it from room to room with no problem as far as weight goes. we unplugged and plugged back in and it steamed back up immediately.
Its a cute little mate that finally got our kitchen floor 'crude' free. It does well around the edges of the walls, either from side or front (dragging across cleaned the baseboard), got under those cupboards and they are clean. NO CHEMICALS! It comes with 2 pads that 'clip' on well, they don't even dream of coming off while you are cleaning. We washed the pad and it cleaned up ok, still grey where the black was, but clean and fluffy again. It says not to put them in the dryer . Air dry. No problem. TThe only thing We could see might upset some is that this is a moderately slow process - the old fashioned speed racer mop push won't do it here, not and get the extra clean of the hot steam. Slow down, forget the elbow grease, and let it clean your floor. Umm, nice. :-)

A great appliance, February 3, 2009
I've thought about getting a steam mop for awhile but whenever I read up on them, there were more complaints than raves. Read about this one on several sites and it seemed univerally loved. I can see why: it does a great job and does it quickly. The floors get really clean; you can see it on the pad. This is prob. the best feature: large,heavy duty, thick, waffle weave pads. It came with two and I ordered an extra. I have about 1000 sq. feet of wood floors and 3 tiled baths/laun.

I just got my new Enviro Steamer and I really love it! I have been looking on-line comparing steam mops for the past 6 months and I finally decided on this one because of the reviews and price. It hasn't disappointed me! The steam works great and the mop pads are really heavy duty. Because it's so easy to attach the mop pads to the base, if I ever needed another mop pad to finish up a job I could easily just attach one of my own wash cloths or towels. The swivel handle works great and the base fits under all of my cabinets. I have a 4 year old house and there was putty and other stuff stuck on my tile floor since I moved in and I have never been able to remove it. Today it is gone thanks to the Eureka Enviro Steamer! The steam softened it up and I was able to easily scrape it off with a knife blade. The hair spray build-up in the bathroom is gone and the floors are shiny clean. I am very happy! You can trust the 5 star reviews! This is great!

I have been reading about all the different Eureka Steam Mops and their pros and cons. I decided on the enviro and I am so glad I did. First... no whimpy pad here, this baby is thick and durable and really easy to put on and take off. It didn't 'soak' the floor as long as you keep it moving. I did a kitchen, family room laundry and 3 bathrooms with 2 refills and without changing the pad. It heats up in 3 minutes, the cord is fine, I just unplugged and plugged it in from room to room. The cloth really picks up dirt and I just threw it in the wash with some car towels and let it air dry. This cloth is so heavy duty, you will not need to buy replacements. The machine will wear out before the pads do. Buy this one, it's a great price and you will not be disappointed.
